Here are some popular symbols/emojis used around the world.

There are a number of popular emoji symbols that are used in this way.

The most common ones are the smiley face, winking face, heart and thumbs-up symbol. These can be used for almost any situation and are very versatile.

Other popular symbols include:

Grinning Face With Smiling Eyes (🤣) – This is another variation of the smiling face with the addition of a tongue sticking out. It can be used to show that something is funny or to express excitement about something.

Winky Face (😉) – This is another variation of the smiley face with a wink instead of a grin. It can be used to indicate flirting or sexual innuendo.

Heart Eyes (😍) – This is an expression that is commonly used by people when they're feeling affectionate towards someone else or excited about something.

Adobe just released an Emoji Cheat Sheet (PDF) that explains how to use more than 800 emojis in iOS and Android devices. The cheat sheet includes symbols for everything from the obvious (smileys) to the not-so-obvious (a person dancing).

  2. Hands: You can use these to represent many different gestures or actions, including waving hello or goodbye or giving someone the finger.

  3. Hearts: You guessed it — these are for showing love or affection for someone or something else!

  4. Animals: There are several different animals available, including bears, lions and tigers. If you want something cuter, try using dogs or cats instead!
