What is YouTube?
YouTube is a video-sharing website where users can upload, view and share videos. It was founded by Chad Hurley, Steve Chen and Jawed Karim in February 2005. The company's headquarters is located in San Bruno, California.
If you want to use a desktop software to remove silent pauses in your youtube videos, here is what you can do.
You can use a free audio editing program like Audacity to remove silent pauses from your YouTube videos. Follow these steps to do so:
Download and install Audacity on your computer, if you haven't already done so.
Open the Audacity program on your computer. Click "File" and then "Open." Navigate to where your YouTube video is saved on your hard drive and select it.
Check the box next to "Enable Editing" at the bottom of the window that appears when you open Audacity. This will enable you to edit your audio file in Audacity without having to convert it first (which would result in a loss of quality).
Select all of the silence in between words by clicking and dragging across it with your mouse cursor, then hit "Delete" on your keyboard to delete all silent space from between words in the video clip (see Resources for more help).
