How to disable extensions in Google Chrome

The browser is a tool for accessing the Internet and using web pages, but there are many add-ons that can be installed to extend its capabilities. These extensions may be useful, but they can also slow down your browser by consuming memory and processor resources or even exposing you to malicious content.

If you’re tired of these problems, here’s how to disable extensions in Google Chrome:

Click the menu button (three horizontal lines) and select Settings from the drop-down menu.

Click Extensions on the left side of the page under Advanced Settings.

Uncheck Enabled and click OK.

You are also able to tell whether an extension code is running on a specific webpage by clicking on the button at the top right corner of Google Chrome browser.
